Memphremagog Graphique is a family business that as been found in a very fortunate hazard. The Dupuis family as always been in love with wood working in general.

Michel the father, as been working with wood since an early age and made many complicate projects such as kayaks, toys, furnitures and countless number of unique pieces of carving, that can be found everywhere in the Canadian country. However it was only a hobby for Michel since he was a sport teacher in an elementary school.

In 1975, the Dupuis family left their house in Rouyn Noranda to travel as far as the Eastern Township. They established themselve nearly the Mont Orford which is known for its touristic station (ski and golf) and the majestic Memphremagog Lake that expand from Magog to Newport in Vermont USA. The lake as a lenght of over 40 km.

At the end of the seventies, the Dupuis, the father, the mother and their younger boy, Martin 10 years old at the time, were making decorative wooden plates that as handcarved Canadian houses on them. Their products were found in a number of art boutiques across the Province of Quebec. At the same time Michel was making many pieces of hand carved work that can now be found everywhere around the country.

In 1980, a friend of the family ask Michel if he can carved a woodensign for his art boutique. That,s how the very first sign has been created from the Dupuis family. Michel never doubted that he would be asked again. A few weeks later another command arrived. That's how Lise, Michel and Martin (14 years old) made their debut in the sign business. At first it was only a hobby because Michel was teaching full time. Martin was studing at a secondary school and Lise was doing the marketing.

A few years had passed and the orders were multiplying. In 1987 Martin left University to fulfill his lifetime dream of creating an being and artist to concentrate full time in the family business.

All the conception and production of the signs was handmade. Fortunately the computer-aided has definitely help to increase the level of quality and productivity of the sign making.

In 1991 a painting artist, Sylvie (Martins's wife) joined force with the family business. Her artistic habilities added a more personal touch to the signs. Therefore Michel, Lise , Martin, Sylvie and the little Raphaelle (Martin and Sylvie dauther) that's already shows great interest in arts. They put their talents together to create this unique family business.

Since then Memphremagog Graphique as been evoluate, enlargement of the workshop, adding computer equipment, improvement of the staff. All that has open up the company to the higher level of quality and efficiency, resulting in a more professionnal custom service.
